Plant-based pioneers

Here at Shakespeare Communications, we are always delighted to work with like-minded companies. It’s gratifying on both sides to be in a working relationship where there is mutual understanding, a joint, genuine enthusiasm (dare we say love) for the product and a strong sense of genuinely doing good when we are promoting your products and services.

 …..

While it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, we have proudly blazed a trail to help promote plant-based vegan and ethical brands. It makes us feel better when we wake up in the morning. While all our clients are officially good people, we especially enjoy some close working relationships with some very special brands.

Not only are these brands against animal cruelty, they are often uncommonly concerned with environmental concerns, too. And let’s not beat around the bush (also, that sounds cruel), our founder Ananda Shakespeare is a lifelong vegan, and is often found commenting, moderating conferences and events and commissioning articles extolling the virtues of plant-based living.

 …..

It’s good to work in an environment with strong moral values, and the pandemic has certainly brought softer workplace skills to the fore. We believe we are entering a new era where employers need to show more flexibility, a more caring attitude towards staff, the natural world, and animals.

 …..

While we don’t only work with plant-based and environmentally forward-thinking companies, sharing aligned values makes it an easy win for both sides. For example, if you are launching a vegan ice cream, why would you want to employ a PR company that works with meat producers?

 …..

That’s exactly why UAE-based dessert disruptors The Brooklyn Creamery came to us for help when it launched an amazingly tasty range of plant-based ice creams. They knew Shakespeare Comms would understand their aims, and better still, automatically have some affinity with the product. Turns out the ice cream is fantastic, and our outreach to the vegan community was pretty straightforward as we know where to go.

Given our vegan tendencies, we’ve also helped the gourmet ice cream company build distribution channels into plant-forward restaurants and cafes that we frequent ourselves. And our enthusiasm leaked into the website and product descriptions…

 …..

When Dana Ashkar wanted to launch a range of healthier, better for you chocolate, she called on us. Diabetes ran in her family, and she wanted to help her family members enjoy a treat without suffering the effects of fat, sugar and processed ingredients. We jumped at the chance to help turn CAHO chocolate into the leading homegrown chocolate brand in the UAE - who wouldn’t? Within three months, we achieved more than $65,000 worth of advertising value equivalent (AVE) reaching an audience of 2 million people.

Artizzan Cheeze, a locally produced vegan cheese, was looking to expand its growth in the region and raise its profile. We helped push the brand to a wider audience and helped the company try to secure funding for growth.

…..

Wellness is close to a lot of vegan’s hearts, an Shakespeare Comms has proudly worked with the gorgeous Plantation Villa in Sri Lanka, a retreat offering vegan cuisine and natural ayurvedic treatments.

…..

As we move into a more caring, more environmentally aware era, we would love to join you and your brand in exploring how we can work together in a meaningful, ethical and mutually rewarding way.
